08.09.2022Jing Zeng has been appointed Assistant Professor at Utrecht University

Dr. Jing Zeng, senior research and teaching associate at IKMZ, has accepted an assistant professor appointment at Utrecht University, Netherlands. Her professorship of Digital Methods and Critical Data Studies will officially start in November 2022.
Dr. Jing Zeng joined IKMZ in 2018, after completing her doctoral research at the Digital Media Research Center at Queensland University of Technology in Australia.  Being part of the division of Science Communication, she works closely with Professor Mike Schäfer on two SNF projects that research online conspiracy theories and public imaginaries of AI. During her time in the department, she has been also teaching digital methods courses and lectures about the social and political implications of platforms.
