Daniel Nodari
Daniel Nodari hat im August als IT Mitarbeiter am IKMZ gestartet. Daniel kennt die IT Umgebung der UZH bereits durch von seine langjährige Tätigkeit als IT-Mitarbeiter für das fög.

Annalise Baines
Annalise Baines joined IKMZ in September 2023 as a Senior Research and Teaching Associate (Oberassistentin). Previously, she completed her PhD at the University of Kansas(KU), United States and also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant for the KU Center for Digital Inclusion. Her research interest includes the role of digital communication in effecting positive change within the area of health and science communication. Specifically, she aims to enhance groups’ digital access and information literacy among marginalized and underserved populations. Her other research interests include the use of emerging technologies such as VR and AI from a health and diversity and inclusion perspective.

Samuel Grösch
Samuel Grösch joined the Media & Internet Governance division as a research and teaching associate in October 2023. He holds an MSc in Data & Society from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BA in Communication Science as well as Political Science (Minor) from Zeppelin University, Friedrichshafen. As a visiting student he obtained a certificate in European Affairs from Sciences Po. His current research and teaching interests include platform governance, data protection and the evaluation of harmful online content, as well as computational methods.

Isa Vos
Isa Vos started her PhD in October in the Media Use & Effects division. She has obtained her Master’s Communication Science at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and her Research Master’s Social and Health Psychology at Utrecht University. Her research interests include social media and fitspiration, topics where both communication science and psychology come into play.

Emese Domahidi
Emese Domahidi joins IKMZ as a DSI fellow in October and November 2023. Emese Domahidi is a full professor for communication science, especially Computational Communication Science at Technische Universität Ilmenau in Germany. She received the PhD for her thesis “Online Media Use and Perceived Social Resources. A Meta-Analysis” at the University of Münster and was a postdoc at Leibniz-Institut für Wissensmedien in Tübingen.
Emese Domahidi is concerned with the analysis of digital media content and communication processes, as well as the associated changes for individuals and society. Her main research interests are in the fields of mental health and digital media, (cognitive) biases in digital media, and human-machine interaction. Besides traditional methods of communication science, she also focuses on the application, improvement, and evaluation of computational methods for communication science.
Emese Domahidi has published numerous articles in leading journals of the field. She is head of the Methods Division of the German Communication Association, co-editor of the journal Publizistik and board member in the journals Journal of Media Psychology, Media Psychology, Computational Communication Research and M&K.
As a DSI fellow she will focus on advancing interdisciplinary perspectives on computational mental health research.

Sarah Daoust-Braun
Sarah Daoust-Braun joined the Media Change & Innovation division in October 2023 as a research and teaching assistant and Ph.D. student under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Michael Latzer. She worked as a student research assistant for the same division for one year before starting her doctorate. Sarah will collaborate on the SNF research project “The Chilling Effects of Dataveillance.” Her research interests center on individual experiences with corporate dataveillance. Sarah holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism (Université du Québec à Montréal) and a specialized Master’s Degree in Internet & Society (University of Zurich). Before pursuing graduate studies, she worked as a journalist for four years in Canada.
