Ingrid M.Oliva Alvarado has been a Ph.D. student and a Research and Teaching Assistant in Strategic Communication and Media Management at the Department of Communication and Media Research at the University of Zürich since May 2021. Before joining the IKMZ, Ingrid obtained an M.Sc. in Business and Economics from the University of Basel and an M.Sc. in International Management from the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW). During her studies, Ingrid created a start-up for ethical fashion in collaboration with indigenous women from Honduras. She acts as a board member of the Zürich-based Verein and NGO "Descubre Honduras, Entedecke Honduras." She also volunteers with The Good Festival in Lausanne to support ethical and social entrepreneurs.
Ingrid Oliva Alvarado's research interests include sustainable communication, sustainable finance, financial communication, and the media's effects on investor behavior and financial markets.
