10.04.2024Science Communication in the Age of Artificial Intelligence

Sabrina H. Kessler, Daniela Mahl, Mike S. Schäfer & Sophia C. Volk will host the 2024 Annual Conference of the Science Communication Division of the German Communication Association in Zurich (June 6-7). The conference will focus on research related to communication about and with AI, and the impact of AI technologies on science communication ecosystems.

The program is packed with two keynotes by Shirley S. Ho and Christoph Neuberger, a panel discussion on "Linking Science Communication Research and Practice in the Age of AI" (with Mirko Bischofberger, Esther Laukötter, Jason Pridmore, and Monika Taddicken), and more than 30 presentations. Selected papers from the conference will be published in a special issue of "JCOM – Journal of Science Communication", edited by the conference organizers and forthcoming in 2025.
