Sarah Geber has been appointed "Lecturer – Research" in "Digital Health Communication" as of March 1st, 2024. The lecturer position is one of the newly created positions at UZH. It has a focus on research, is independent (i. e., not assigned to a professorship), and permanent.

In this role, Sarah Geber is dedicated to advancing knowledge and establishing research infrastructure in the field of digital health communication. Her research focuses on social and algorithmic influences related to social media use and adolescents’ risk behavior, mobile media use and well-being, and the adoption of health technologies.

Sarah Geber received her PhD from the University of Hanover in 2016 and had been Senior Research and Teaching Associate at IKMZ since September 2018. She was also visiting scholar at the University of Amsterdam and George Washington University and interim professor at the University of Mannheim.
