In a world of fake news and dwindling trust in institutions - do people still trust scientists to do their job properly? Experts say: Yes, they do. In this expert interview during the Euroscience Open Forum in Toulouse by Deutschlandradio, Mike Schäfer along with colleagues argues that similar to other countries, trust in science is still high in Switzerland: "It might be that the amount of people that distrust science hasn't actually increased. Rather, people that distrust science speak up more loudly. Public discourse might give them the feeling: We are not the minority anymore, there are many people that think alike."
