The Media and Internet Governance division conducts research on the socio-technical and socio-economic forces that influence both traditional and digital media landscapes, focusing on how regulatory decisions and public policies emerge, evolve, and affect communication systems and research. Committed to advancing both theoretical and practical insights, and grounded in a communication-science tradition that embraces an integrative approach, the division employs a wide range of methodological and theoretical frameworks to deepen our understanding of media and Internet governance and its implications for research.
