Campus Oerlikon is home to numerous departments and research units of the University of Zurich (UZH). More than 6500 students and employees study and work here. In addition to the two main campuses, City and Irchel, this campus will remain with the UZH for another fifteen to twenty years. |

CHESS researches the changes in science and universities. It also takes up consultancy roles, organizes events and offers further training. The main office of CHESS is based on the IKMZ. |

The aim of the University of Zurich’s Digital Society Initiative is interdisciplinary reflection and innovation in regard to all aspects of the digitalization of science and society. IKMZ is involved in the focus area “Communication”. |

The interdisciplinary ITSL examines the interrelations between the developments in IT, the associated changes in society and the legal system. Several IKMZ professors are involved in the ITSL. |

The aim of the Foundation is to promote early-career scholars in communication science. The support is primarily aimed at researchers in Switzerland who wish to pursue an academic career (post-docs, advanced doctoral students). |

The alumni association "UZH Alumni comms&media" (formerly "ipmz alumni") was founded in September 2003 by graduates of the former IPMZ. The association offers members targeted networking opportunities and reports on trends and developments in the communications industry as well as at the University of Zurich. "UZH Alumni comms&media" currently has around 250 members.
