The Computational Communication and Social Science Research Group, led by Prof. Dr. Jing Zeng, is a new division of IKMZ. This group focuses on researching critical and emerging issues in communication technologies, leveraging the power of computational methods. In the coming years, the group plans to develop methodologies and tools for studying digital platforms, with a particular focus on multimodal media content. The division’s research agenda covers a broad range of topics, including AI, online misinformation, online activism, and digital visual culture.
